Big Papi’s Grille Kid Critic has been anxious and excited to try the new grille in town, none other than Big Papi’s. The restaurant space was previously owned and occupied by Metro 9 Steakhouse. A team of workers transformed the steakhouse into a red-sox themed grille featuring the Papi himself. Kickass Cupcakes!

Kid Critic stopped by Kick*ss Cupcakes in Somerville on his way home from Boston.  A lot of buzz is circling the cupcake shop.  It is located in a urban area of Somerville in Davis Square on 378 Highland Avenue, its red storefront catches your eye. Parking was tough so try to search around.  A selection of cupcakes are homemade in store offering a cupcake for everyone.  The name may sound offensive but their cupcakes rocked, I had to admit! :D  Since, they taste so good you can say “Hey, these are damn good kickass cupcakes!  Read more...


Gourmet Decisions As we posted on Twitter, we would be continuing our Family Breakfast Series at Gourmet Decisions, a small breakfast nook, cafe and grill serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  Kid Critic went with his father this time.  Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We were seated at a nice, warm, cozy table in front of the restaurant.  A widely-ranged menu is filled with gourmet decisions just like the title which upped my expectations, there were plenty of good selections.  I stuck with the classic griddle cake under the “Kid’s Breakfast” column, a good ol’chocolate chip pancake, my griddle cake favorite. Central Street Grill It's just a short ride from Natick Center, it's Central Street Grill which the restaurant's name will soon be changed to Central Street Cafe.  We arrived around 10:15 on a Saturday.  It was pretty busy and there was no parking so Kid Critic suggests that you plan to wait a bit for a spot.  It is a small. cozy breakfast nook, diner-like restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch.  Read more...
