Despicable Me is a movie with character that released on July 9. I was late to seeing it but was glad i finally did. Gru is the main character and is played by Steve Carrell. He is a spy and tries to be the most famous supervillain hero. His goal is to capture the moon and shrink it using a device called a shrink ray. He has the help of a hundred little midgets, or minions. He also has a competitor who tries to also be the most famous supervillain and stole the shrink ray. In order to try to beat this other supervillain, Gru goes to an adoption agency so he can pretend he has kids and can sell cookies to the supervillain to get the shrink ray back by getting into his vault where the shrink ray is. He succeeds with this task and in the end, he captured the moon but gave it up to be with his kids. I enjoyed watching the movie and thought it was very cute watching Gru have fun with his kids and realize what family is really like. I give "Despicable Me" ten stars for it's humor, plot, and creative design. I watched the movie in Real3D format which is a little more expensive, but to save some cash, the 2D option is a bit less impressive but won’t ruin the total movie experience. I thought it was fun to see in 3D. It is great for funny animated family entertainment.
